Linetype and Color Customizations
of the CAD Layer Guidelines (CLG)

Linetype

Selecting the Linetype box causes the linetype list to be presented. Select any
linetype from the list and it will be reflected in the modified CLG layer name
format. The modification places a single character in position #2 of the Long
Format CLG layer name and, if used, at the end of the Short Format CLG Layer
name but before the color and user defined field if they are used.

To add to or edit the linetype list use any text editor. Edit the file named
"clgltype.dat". The single character alphanumeric code that will specify the
linetype used must occupy the first column of the line. It must be followed by
4 spaces, a hyphen and space before the linetype name which cannot be more
than 10 characters long,

e.g.

C    - Center

H    - Hidden

Color

Selecting the Color box causes the color list to be presented. Select any
color from the list and it will be reflected in the modified CLG layer name
format. The modification places a single character in position #7 of the Long
Format CLG layer name and, if used, at the end of the Short Format CLG Layer
name but before the user defined field if it is used.

To add to or edit the color list use any text editor. Edit the file named
"clgcolor.dat". The single character alphanumeric code that will specify the
color used must occupy the first column of the line. It must be followed by
4 spaces, an hyphen and space. For the color numbers 1 through 9 the actual
AutoCAD color number occupies the first column of the line and is followed
by 4 spaces, an hyphen, another space and the description.

e.g.

1    - Red

2    - Yellow
For AutoCAD colors 10 and above the first column contains the single alphabetic
code that will represent that color number in the layer names. The code must be
followed by four spaces, an hyphen, a space and the actual AutoCAD color
number followed by a space, an hyphen and a space prior to the description.
e.g.

A    - 10 - Dark Yellow

B    - 11 - Dark Green
